Booking policy, cancellation terms and agreement

A quick note

As important as it is for us to be respectful of your time, we ask our current and future guests to be respectful of ours as well, and of our strict cancellation and no-show policy. We also ask for your understanding that being late or not showing up can lead to us adjusting the length of your appointment, or a full-service charge for no-shows.

Our cancellation and no-show policy is not intended as a punishment, but rather so our staff can be compensated fairly for their energy and time. We truly love what we do, and we love being able to provide a brief, safe reprieve for all of our valued guests. Leaving negative Yelp or Google reviews, or disputing a credit card charge due to this penalty, especially after specifically agreeing to these terms and agreement, is misleading and may damage our business. Therefore, we kindly ask that you read and respect our policies should you want to book with us.

Appointments booked on this website are strictly for Somerset Nails & Spa, located at 441 Elizabeth Ave in Somerset, NJ. Other shops in our vicinity are Panera Bread, Frank's Pizza and Wells Fargo Bank.

Cancellations and no-shows

By booking your appointment with us, you are agreeing and will be held financially accountable to our salon's cancellation and no-show policy, including full payment for services received or not received. In an effort to ensure a full day's wage for our staff, we have a strict 12-hour cancellation policy.

  • No-shows and very late cancellations, within 2 hours of your appointment, are charged 100% of your appointment value so that our staff get paid for their time.
  • Late cancellations, within 12 hours of your appointment, are charged 50% of your appointment value.
  • If you are feeling ill and must cancel, the late cancellation policy still applies, but we will work with you by issuing a credit or rescheduling your appointment, at the discretion of management.
  • Late cancellations and no-shows during holiday periods are charged a non-refundable 100% of the full appointment value. There are no exceptions.

Our right to cancel

We reserve the right to cancel your appointment for any reason, but generally this will be related to:

  • Anyone with a nail condition we suspect may be contagious or may be unsafe to perform a service on.
  • Anyone with open or infected wounds.
  • Rude or disrespectful individuals. As important as it is for our staff to be respectful to clientele, we ask for equal treatment.

We are grateful for your understanding and support in advancing our mission to provide a living wage for our staff, and a fabulous atmosphere for all stakeholders.

xx Jeffrey, Owner & Operator
